Active development for these mods have ended. Support for Ugh. God Rays. mods was discontinued in 2018. This page is set up to provide information for current users.
On console, we can't have pretty god rays. It will tank our systems. We're stuck with pixellated grossness. So I said fuck it and turned those bitches off. Take that, god rays.
And guess what? You can have no lens flares too so you don't look out and wonder why you're suddenly a camera man getting panoramic views.
You are the sole survivor, a mother or father, raider or minuteman, a railroad agent or the Director of the Institute. So where's the camera?
There's only a single, teeny-tiny text file and a blank plugin.
Annoying god rays gone!
Three versions to choose from!
Every Load Order Framework is as individual as the person building it. Customize how you like, there's plenty of options.
How to Install
When you enable, quit the game completely to re-initialize the initialization file.
- Download, Adjust load order, and Enable mod
- Return to the Main Menu
- Shut down Game completely by quitting to the Dashboard:
- Press the Xbox Guide button
- Press the "Game Options" button
- Select "Quit" from the menu
- Restart Game
How to Remove
- Delete mod.
- Delete saves associated with mod.
- Return to main menu and reboot your console.
- Start a new game without mod.
Keep in mind that removing a mod and continuing on the same save isn't a good practice and is unsupported. Go back to a previous save prior to downloading or start a new game after you remove any mod.
Part of mod management is knowing when to download mods. Adding mods to your favorites from the Bethesda.net website as you build your Framework can help you stay organized.
Not enough space in your favorites to plan your full load order? Now you can favorite your full load order without having to worry about it! Download Ugh. Mods Manager Cap.

Pick One for Your Load Order
You only need one. I made enough to give you plenty of choices based on what mods you plan on playing with.
Ugh. God Rays.
Do you want god rays to die in a fire?
On handheld device? Scan QR code and use a copypasta app to populate your Framework worksheet.
Ugh. God Rays. Jr.
Want both God Rays and Lens Flare gone? They had a baby together and now you can!
On a handheld device? Scan QR code and use a copypasta app to populate your Framework worksheet.
Ugh. Lens Flare.
Tired of playing as a cameraman instead of the sole survivor?
On a handheld device? Scan the QR code and use a copypasta app to populate your Framework worksheet.
Ugh. God Rays. The Third.
PS4 Players, do you hate god rays and lens flare too? This one's for you!
Tested on Xbox One S with the latest version of the Xbox One OS prior to release and checked with xEdit for sloppy edits.
As with all my mods, I only do the basics to get the job done. No extra fluff, no unsafe edits or deletions. The plugin is blank and only contains a file with the INI extension. To keep the file size as tiny and compact as possible, I didn't add any notes to it.
I do not support the addition, moving, or removal of mods in the middle of a playthrough, regardless of what they do. Use a test character, load the mod, see if you like it, and if it works for you. If not, remove the mod, delete the test character, do a cache clearance. Easy, peasy.
Disabling the volumetric lighting is not intended for use with weather mods since they use it to make the pretty. Doing so will break weather and lighting mods.
Requires most up to date version of the game.
Once enabled, DO NOT MOVE IT.
Plugin is blank so it is not dependent on load order. Enable with lighting on your LO Framework worksheet.
PS4 version has direct edits to lighting. Enable with lighting on your LO Framework worksheet.
How to Survive Load Order Disorder
Don't use with mods that use the same edit or make adjustments to god rays or volumetric lighting.
Active development of these mods has ended and with it technical support. Depending on my playthrough, I still use them on my Xbox without issue. No one reported any issues while mods were actively supported on the Bethesda.net forums.
Mod is complete and offered as is, where is.
